Customer Notice – Bindarrah Rail Incident

Further to our last Bindarrah rail incident notice, we have been advised that recovery works are progressing ahead of schedule with the impacted track now expected to open late Sunday evening under speed restrictions.

We continue to monitor freight availability as we work through coordinating the anticipated incoming backlog of shipments. Please expect further updates should any relevant changes come to hand.

Further to our recent Bindarrah rail incident notice, the rail line is currently projected to reopen mid next week, with recovery works progressing well.

At this stage the affected lanes are:

• Brisbane to Adelaide (and return)
• Sydney to Adelaide (and return)

Alternative delivery modes for the affected lanes above may be available – please contact your local Sadleirs Logistics Representative for further information or assistance.

Further to our notification today regarding the Bindarrah incident, it is understood a derailment investigation has now been completed at the incident site, enabling recovery works to begin.

This incident tragically resulted in the loss of two lives from our service provider’s team. We extend our deepest condolences to the families and colleagues affected by this tragedy.

Due to the necessary recovery processes at the site, we expect the impacted rail traffic to remain closed for the remainder of this week. Consequently, we anticipate continued delays on the following lanes:

• Brisbane to Adelaide (and return)
• Sydney to Adelaide (and return)
• Brisbane to Perth (and return)

Please be assured that we are doing everything possible to manage these disruptions and will keep you informed with further updates. Should you require additional information or assistance during this period, please do not hesitate to contact your local Sadleirs Logistics representative.

Due to a rail incident at Bindarrah over the weekend please expect delays on the rail network.

The incident has closed the rail line 30 kilometres from the South Australia and New South Wales border.

We are currently expecting delays on the following lanes:

• Brisbane to Adelaide (and return)
• Sydney to Adelaide (and return)
• Brisbane to Perth (and return)

While detail on the incident is currently limited, the Sadleirs team will be in contact with updates as relevant information comes to hand.
